Upcoming runners

WE have two runners at Sandown tomorrow (Friday);  Lestrade runs in the Esher Cup and is partnered by Jason Watson who rode him last time out at Lingfield when they were only beaten a head.  Lestrade’s three starts are all this year and he has solid form and we hoping for a big run from him.  He is a very game horse and has been going well at home.

Our other runner at Sandown is Michaels Choice making his seasonal debut.  He is in good form and will also be ridden by Jason Watson.  Last season he had five starts winning one and placed a couple of times.  He had a break over winter and is full of beans – I think he will give his owners the Music Makers some fun this season.

On Saturday we have our first two-year-old runner!  He is  a No Nay Never colt out of a Fantastic Light mare owned by Clive Washbourn and named Galactic Glow. He runs at Doncaster under David Probert and we very much hope for a promising start from him.  He has been working well and schooled nicely through the stalls.

The other runner this weekend is Bee’s (secretary and rider) husband Nik Chapman who is running in the Virgin London Marathon to raise funds for Our Special Friends a charity that Bee volunteers for with their dogs Wiggo and Kauto.  If you visit Phantom House you will probably have met them – they take their roles in security very seriously! Please have a look at this video that shows a small bit of what Our Special Friends does and if you have  couple of quid available for sponsorship it would be put to good use!
