Three runners at Nottingham on Friday

CRAVE, Argent Knight and Ashdown Lad are all set to represent Phantom House Stables at Nottingham tomorrow.

Crave, a daughter of Sakhee’s Secret, will make her debut in the mile fillies’ maiden. (5.40)

William said: “Crave is a filly I have always liked. She was all set to be one of my first two-year-old runners last year but unfortunately she suffered an injury that forced her to miss the whole season.

“She has recovered well and has been working nicely at home. This maiden looks hot enough for Nottingham but I hope she shapes with promise.”

Argent Knight and El Massivo

Dr Jim Walker’s Argent Knight lines up in the 1m6f handicap (6.50). The son of Sir Percy is making his handicap debut having shown promise in maidens last season.

His trainer added: “He is stepping up a lot in trip but I don’t think this will inconvenience him and I think he should run a good race.”

William has declared Ashdown Lad for the 1m2f handicap (7.25). Promising apprentice Robert Tart takes off 5lbs and on the best of his form he would have a solid chance.

William said: “Ashdown Lad has come to hand with the warmer weather and is ready to make his seasonal debut. He won under a claimer last year and I am optimistic that Robert Tart will be able to get a tune out of him tomorrow.”
