MRS Gallagher will bid for Royal Ascot glory when she tackles the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes on Wednesday.
This has been the plan for the daughter of Oasis Dream since her winning debut over course and distance six weeks ago. The form of that race has worked out well and William has been pleased with her recent progress.
He said of the Ms E Banks-owned filly: “Mrs Gallagher seems in good form and this has been the plan since she won on debut. “She is a course and distance winner and the form has been boosted. I would have preferred not to have been drawn on the wing (stall 1) but Silvestre (De Sousa) knows her well and is riding better than ever. As predicted it is a competitive race but I am happy with my filly and think she is capable of running a big race. “
Tomorrow, Still Waiting will carry Michael Banks’ colours in the 7f handicap at Brighton. The son of Kheleyf is a consistent type and on the best of his form would have a good chance of securing a first career win.
