WE were all thrilled when Bulleit got us off the mark for 2022 a couple of weeks ago at Kempton. He was partnered by Robert Havlin and they powered home to win by a length to the delight of the Raceology Partnership; so pleased to have a winner for them as they are huge supporters of us at Phantom House. Bulleit has come out of the race really well and is due to run again this week.
William says: “I have just returned from Bahrain having watched Arqoob finish third in the final race of the Bahrain Turf Series. His first race was on 10th December when he finished a close second, he has been tremendously consistent, running in all of the five Turf Series races and as a result he secured the £25,000 win bonus.
It is a fantastic result for all of us at Phantom House and a great bonus for his owner Richard Banks.
Enormous credit must go to James Bosley who was with Arqoob for his stay in Bahrain. James missed out seeing his family over Christmas and the New Year holiday. I am sure that while he enjoyed his time in Bahrain, he was happy to return home on Saturday.
I was hugely impressed by the facilities that we enjoyed, the Quarantine Barns were spotless and the training facilities of an extremely high standard. Ed Veale and Olivia Hills ensured that we were extremely well looked after on our visits and I cannot thank them enough.
Of course a lot of hard work and planning took place to ensure this expedition was a success and if we have the right horse I would definitely have a serious think about returning.
We have a few runners coming up in the next few day, including Bulleit who was a recent winner at Kempton, I hope he can follow up again.”
Thursday at Southwell we have Kenilworth King and Natalie Rose. Friday Bulleit is in at Lingfield and Seraphinite is entered at Wolverhampton on Monday.
