Lady Bowthorpe retires to stud

TODAY was a poignant day for all the team at Phantom House as Lady Bowthorpe left the yard to prepare for the next phase of her career as a broodmare; there were moist eyes as she was waved off to Fittocks Stud.

She has been a wonderful mare for us all and given us so many fabulous memories to treasure, we are so grateful to have had her, she will be greatly missed by the whole team.    However we hope she will be as good a broodmare as she has been a racehorse winning admiration for her talent and toughness and look forward to seeing her offspring.  Huge thanks to Emma Banks, all the team at Manor Farm Waresley (destination for holidays and pre-training), Becky (head girl), Clare (who has looked after her for the last two years), James (her rider this year), and all the team.  We feel so privileged to be involved with such a wonderful horse.
