WE’RE all thrilled with our quickfire double at Nottingham this afternoon!
One Night Stand won the afternoon’s feature race the Download the Mansionbet App Handicap (Class 3) over six furlongs. Partnered by Silvestre de Sousa they race in the centre, tracking the leader until taking the lead over two furlongs out and ridden with a furlong to go and won nicely by 4 1/2 lengths. We’re delighted for owners David Batten and partner and Batts was at Nottingham to shout him home. We will see how he comes out of the race before making too many plans but so pleased with the way he won.
The next race was another 6 furlong event, The Mansionbet Bet £10 Get £20 Handicap (Class 6). This time we had the Raceology Partnership’s Sendacard who was also partnered by Silvestre de Sousa and he stuck to the successful formula of racing centre, chasing the leaders and riding two furlongs out but were a bit later hitting the front within the last half furlong and staying on to win by 1/2 a length. Jo Margossian of the Raceology Partnership was there to support her filly.
All is good with Lady Bowthorpe in her preparation for the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.
