WE’RE all thrilled with Arqoob’s victory at Yarmouth last night. Delighted to have a first winner for Lt Staughton Farms Ltd and hope there will be many more to come.
Arqoob was partnered by Cieren Fallon and they sat midfield until making headway 2 furlongs out taking the lead over a furlong out and staying on nicely to win by two and a quarter lengths..
Sam Haggas of Hurworth Bloodstock purchased Arqoob and the 2020 Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training sale on behalf of Richard Banks of Lt Staughton Farms Ltd for 65,000 gs. We are grateful to Shadwell Stud for their help and co-operation regarding a small problem soon after the purchase.
We are looking forward to Maybury and Arigato running at Epsom on Friday. Maybury is an exciting two-year-old owned by the Phantom House Partnership and is running in the Woodcote Stakes over 6 furlongs and will be partnered by Silvestre De Sousa.
Arigato has been a marvellous horse for Phantom House and he is a course winner at Epsom – but he is now a seven furlong specialist and we’re looking forward to seeing him run in the last race partnered by Josephine Gordon.
Our stable star, Lady Bowthorpe, has come out of her great run in the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes at Newbury very well and we are very much counting the days down to 16th June when we hope she will be very competitive in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot.
