PHANTOM House has three runners at three different tracks today (August 4) with a pair of two-year-olds and a three-year-old in action.
Aquilifer, a gelding owned by John Kelsey-Fry, steps up to 7f for his second career start at 4pm at Brighton.
Trainer William Jarvis hopes his charge will have progressed from his debut at Windsor when he was never on terms.
There is a racecourse debut at 6.20 at Yarmouth for Bougatti, owned by Messrs Randall, Mitchell and Turnbull.
This colt by Tobougg starts off over 7f in a maiden auction stakes in which he will carry top weight of 8st 12lb.
William said: “I like him and while I suspect he will need the experience, I would be disappointed if he does not run an eye-catching race.”
The day’s action concludes with the 8.35 at Kempton in which Admiral Cochrane makes his return from a 112-day break in a 1m handicap.
The Noverre gelding was a star for his owner Dr Jim Walker in the early part of 2010 picking up a couple of wins, once indeed at the Surrey track.
William said: “He has got a very poor draw in one and is coming back from a bit of a lay-off. But he is a genuine horse who always gives his best.”
