WILLIAM JARVIS has runners all over the place in the next few days with Never Ending Tale declared for the Wood Ditton Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow (Thursday).

The son of Singspiel is in division one of what is a traditionally competitive affair for unraced three-year-old colts.

William said: “We took three horses to Great Leighs last Sunday for their trials day and Never Ending Tale was one of the trio.

“He was ridden by Michael Tebbutt and the experience did him

good as he went with Mumbleswerve (Karen Parris) and Gravitation (Alan Munro).”

Indeed, Gravitation is in line for her debut on Friday at Newbury in what is always a hot 1m 2f maiden (Eswaarah won it on the route to Oaks glory three years ago).

“I'm very much looking forward to seeing Gravitation run,” said William. “Hopefully, she will become a very nice staying filly. I've been pleased with her work and Alan really liked her when he sat on her at Great Leighs.”

Also on Friday, Shogun Prince will bid to follow up his Lingfield triumph when he contests a 1m 2f handicap at Yarmouth on Friday night.

“He is in good form and I expect him to run a nice race,” said the trainer.

Longevity has his first start as a three-year-old on Saturday. He tackles another one of those strong early-season maidens - this one is at Newbury over a mile.
