ORIENTAL Scot bounced back to winning ways with a smooth win in a mile handicap at Thirsk on September 4.
Dr Jim Walker’s son of Selkirk produced a career best to win this competitive event and looks to be going the right way.
Jockey PJ McDonald settled Oriental Scot at the rear of the field. The pacesetters went off very quickly and McDonald was riding his mount along at halfway.
But on turning in the frontrunners began to toil and Oriental Scott stayed on strongly to score going away by three lengths.
Trainer William Jarvis said: "We're absolutely delighted with that - it was an impressive performance."We've always liked this horse and I am very pleased for Dr Jim that Oriental Scot has won again."
