TRAINER WILLIAM Jarvis was delighted to see Mega Watt nail a first career win at Chepstow earlier this week.

The Acclamation colt didn't enjoy the unique undulations of the Welsh course but showed admirable resolve to get the job done when coming under severe pressure.

Jarvis said: “I was very pleased to see him win despite not really handling the track. The lack of pace in the race was also against him, so it was great to see him get off the mark.

“We will have to see how the handicapper assesses him, but I would be disappointed if he wasn't able to follow up.”

In latest running news, Newbury maiden fourth Longevity will be out at Southwell in a median auction maiden nest Tuesday with the trainer commenting: “I would hope that he would be very competitive.”

Spice Gardens' participation in a handicap at Yarmouth on Monday will be ground dependant as she wouldn't want it overly quick.

Colorado Springs, second on the all-weather in one outing last back-end, is a planned runner in a median auction maiden at Yarmouth on Tuesday.
