The Acclamation colt had shown plenty of ability in his previous three starts, finishing third and then second before today.
In his first attempt in handicap company, he was a well backed 13/8 favourite but had to strive mighty hard to break his duck.
Always close to the pace in the mile contest, Mega Watt went eye-ball to eye-ball with Bere Davis in a thrilling battle through the closing furlong.
Jockey Alan Munro gave it full throttle in the closing strides and just did enough to secure a short head triumph for the Jarvis team.
