TRAINER William Jarvis reflected this morning on what has been a slightly disappointing week for the yard’s runners.
Unfortunately none of this week’s representatives made it into the winner’s circle but it was encouraging to see improved performances from Indian Tonic at Leicester and Cuthbert at Epsom.
Jarvis said: “I was pleased to see Cuthbert and Indian Tonic put up a good show. Hopefully they can improve again and soon get their heads in front.
“Some of the horses this year are not well handicapped at all which makes life very difficult for them.
“However, we must remain positive and hope for a flurry of winners in the autumn.”
Jarvis is looking forward to increasing the work-load of some of his more backward two-year olds in the yard.
“I am very much looking forward to upping the work for Oriental Scott, Cotton Mill and Perse as they all look nice prospects and hopefully they can perform with credit when they make their debuts.”
