DON’T say we never told you so: Dr Jim Walker flies in from Hong Kong and his trainer William Jarvis promptly sends out a winner!
History shows that it’s the system to end all systems. For Dr Jim’s fifth successive visit the Phantom House team has come good as on this latest occasion Wasp found the winner’s enclosure at Wolverhampton.
In the past Troubadour, Admiral Dundas - twice - and Wasp last October have all carried Dr Jim’s pale green silks to success.
On January 29 jockey Joe Fanning gave Wasp a perfectly judged ride to land an 11/2 victory in the extended mile handicap at Wolves.
Gallantry cut out the early running with odds-on favourite Red Somerset in second and just ahead of the Jarvis-trained seven-year-old.
Over 2f out Fanning began to get to work with Red Somerset looking full of running. But Wasp kept finding more for pressure and grabbed the lead close home before nailing a neck success.
Jarvis said: “It is very satisfying that we’ve able to send out a winner for Dr Jim to coincide once again with one of his welcome visits.”

That's my boy!
