WASP makes a swift return to action this Saturday when he’ll line up in a mile handicap at Lingfield.
Dr Jim Walker was in England to witness his seven-year-old’s victory at Wolverhampton three weeks ago to preserve a remarkable run.
The Hong Kong-based owner has made a happy habit of flying in to watch his horses triumph with Troubadour, Admiral Dundas and Wasp all prevailing.
Unfortunately the talismanic Dr Jim won’t be at the Surrey track this weekend - but followers of the pale green silks should not despair!
Wasp is in good form and blew out in a routine canter around Side Hill this morning. While Joe Fanning is unable to ride him again because of other commitments, Joe Crowley is another strong jockey booking.
Other horses likely to be in action in the next week or so include Mataram and West Kirk.
