WILLIAM has three to run at his local track today with Kay Gee Be in the feature 7f handicap.
The six-year-old gelding finished third on the Rowley Mile on his seasonal reappearance last year so hopefully he'll enjoy running on home turf once again.
He has the six-time champion jockey Kieren Fallon to partner him and William is optimistic about his charge's chance following a respectable effort in the Victoria Cup earlier this month.
He said: "Kay Gee Be must have each-way claims. It does look a very competitive event but the handicapper has relented and dropped him 3lb after his slightly unlucky run in the Victoria Cup at Ascot."
William also has two newcomers to run in the 1m 2f maiden in the shape of Cotton Mill and Telescopic.
Cotton Mill is a colt by Tiger Hill and Telescopic is a filly by Galileo.
William said: "They are two quite nice horses and we are looking for encouraging debuts from the pair."
Profligate, a once-raced daughter of Soviet Star, makes her seasonal bow tomorrow in a 1m maiden at Newmarket.
The trainer added: "Her work has been solid and I am hoping that she can run with promise as I was a little bit disappointed with her debut at the end of last season."
