PHANTOM HOUSE received some very good news this morning as the yard was given the ‘all clear’ after an isolated case of Strangles was found last month.
Since its discovery, trainer William Jarvis and his staff have worked extremely hard to prevent an escalation of the problem and today they were rewarded with a third set of negative swab results, which allows for life in the yard to return to normal.
The results effectively give William the green light to resume the usual Phantom House training routine, so the horses can exercise on the Heath in the mornings once more.
William said: “It is obviously great news and we now look forward to getting back to what we do best - which is training winners.
“I wish to express my sincere gratitude to each and every member of the staff here at Phantom House. Their outstanding attitude and excellent support have been invaluable at a time when we had to undergo a change in working hours.
“I would also like to thank Benoit and Jan from the Newmarket Equine Hospital for their diligence and help. Similarly, can I also offer my thanks to Jockey Club Estates for their flexibility in allowing us to exercise the horses in the afternoon.
“Last but not least, great thanks, too, to all my owners whose support and patience have been invaluable.”

William can start to look forward to the season now!
