WILLIAM Jarvis is hoping to sign off for 2009 with a flourish as he sends three intriguing runners to the track at the end of the week.
The trainer will be represented by both Katy's Secret and West Kirk at Wolverhampton on Friday.
Katy's Secret contests a 6f median auction maiden for fillies, having made a more than satisfactory debut a fortnight ago when second in a similar race at the Midlands track.
West Kirk is set for a step up to an extended nine furlongs after finishing fourth of eight on his comeback run almost a month ago.
Sunday sees Admiral Cochrane in action again as he bids to follow up on his Wolverhampton win with success in another nursery, this time at Lingfield.
William said: "These three are likely to be our last runners of 2009 and hopefully we can sign off with a winner or two and then look forward to a successful 2010.
"Katy's Secret ran a very nice race first time out and we are hoping that she can go one better on Friday. She is drawn okay in four and seems in good form.
"West Kirk runs for the first time in a handicap and I hope the trip will suit him a bit better.
"He hasn't been a straightforward horse to train but we have had a pretty good preparation with him coming into this race.
"Owned by Dr Jim Walker, it would be nice if West Kirk could run a very competitive to make up for Oriental Scot- also owned by Dr Jim - who put up a disappointing performance last weekend at Southwell.
"I'm probably also going to run Dr Jim's Admiral Cochrane, who gamely won a Wolverhampton nursery over 6f the other day.
"The horse is entered for Sunday at Lingfield and while I was very pleased with his performance over six furlongs last time, seven furlongs is optimum trip.
"I hope that will offset the fact that he has been raised 5lb by the handicapper for his recent win.
"It only remains for me, then to wish all my owners, staff and everyone else associated with Phantom House a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
