IT is set to be a very busy Thursday for the Phantom House team as Rock A Doodle Doo, Oriental Scot and Stoical have all been declared to contest races at Sandown Park.
The former, a three time winner by Oratorio, produced a career best effort to finish second in a handicap at the Esher track last time out and William is hopeful that he can go one better on Thursday.
He said: “Rocky will line up in a one mile six furlong handicap. We are upping him in trip which is a bit of an experiment but I am hopeful that it will suit.
“He is in great form at home and Frankie Dettori will take the ride again.”
Dettori will also be aboard Oriental Scot who has an engagement in a mile handicap on the same card.
Dr Jim Walker’s colt was the impressive winner of a Classified race at Nottingham on his last start but has been raised 12 pounds for the success.
William added on the son of Selkirk: “Despite his huge hike in the weights I am hopeful that Oriental Scot can still be competitive.
“He is very well and impressed in his last piece of work under Michael Tebbut.”
The trio is made up by Stoical who has been given the green light by his trainer to contest a 1m2f maiden.
He said: “He has come out of his debut run at Kempton very well and we are expecting an improved effort from him.”
In other news William was thrilled to see that cricketing legend Michael Holding has returned to Newmarket.
He added: “We can tell that summer is here as Mikey Holding is out casting his watchful eye over Sir Michael Stoute’s string- welcome back Mikey!”
