AQUILIFER will face his toughest task to date when his lines up in the £150,000 Tattersalls Millions 3YO Sprint at Newmarket tomorrow.

The son of Holy Roman Emperor won three times at Lingfield over the winter but will have to step up again to be competitive in this valuable race.

William said: “He is likely to be outclassed but he improved so much over the winter on the all-weather that he deserves to take his place.

“He will be tongue-tied for the first time and Shane Kelly retains the ride.”

Tomorrow evening Private Equity will bid to return to winning ways in a 1m4f handicap at Kempton.

The daughter of Haafhd has been running well this winter and should be in the shake-up again.

William added: “We have dropped her back in trip and found a race that doesn’t look very strong on paper. She is in good form, has a good draw and should run well.”
