ROCK A Doodle Doo’s Ebor plans have been put on hold following his disappointing performance at York last weekend.

The son of Oratorio had been an unlucky fourth at Royal Ascot on his penultimate start but failed to land a blow in the John Smith’s Silver Cup on Saturday.

William said: “I was disappointed with Rock A Doodle Doo’s effort at York but nothing has come to light and he seems to have taken the race well.

“Some horses don’t act at York and that is a possibility and he did have a poor outside draw. At the moment plans for a tilt at the Ebor are on hold. Ideally I’d like him to be dropped a couple of pounds so we could target the Shergar Cup back at Ascot where he goes well.”
