ROCK A Doodle Doo and Qushchi will both be in racecourse action this Saturday.
William has declared Rock A Doodle Doo for a 1m4f handicap at Ascot and Qushchi for a 1m2f handicap at Nottingham.
The former, a son of Oratorio, put up a very pleasing seasonal reappearance when second to the well-handicapped Sunny Game at Epsom last month.
He should strip fitter for that run and William is hopeful that he can be there or thereabouts again.
He said: “I am looking forward to running Rocky on Saturday. The handicapper raised him 5lbs for finishing second at Epsom but I still hope he can run well.”
William has booked champion jockey Paul Hanagan to ride Qushchi at Nottingham. The daughter of Encosta de Lago won her maiden at Newmarket last October and ran better than the form figure suggests in the Nell Gwyn Stakes last time out.
William added: “She ran well at Newmarket considering we dropped her in the deep end a bit and seven furlongs is definitely a bit sharp for her.
“The step up to a mile and a quarter should be a help and I expect her to run well.”
