QUSHCHI proved herself as tough as they come at Doncaster on July 30 when securing her second career victory for owner/breeder Lady Howard de Walden.
Jockey Darryll Holland made every yard of the running on the three-year-old filly in the 1m 4f handicap.
The daughter of Encosta De Lago had found her stamina stretched in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot last time.
But eased back in distance and dropped in class, trainer William Jarvis' charge proved too resilient for her four rivals on this latest assignment.
The bay was seriously tested in the closing 2f but had all the answers, first repelling Libritish and then Anton Dolin for a half-length triumph at odds of 3/1.  Following her victory William said "I am delighted for Lady Howard and all the team at Phantom House"
In the last eight days, Phantom House has had seven runners, two have won and two have finished second. Let's hope the solid form continues.
