Qushchi declared for Queen’s Vase

QUSHCHI will step up to two miles tomorrow when she lines up in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot.

The daughter of Encosta de Lago, who runs in the famous apricot colours of Lady Howard de Walden, has been third on her last two starts including in a hot handicap at Haydock last time.

She will be ridden by regular partner, Jim Crowley, in the Group 3 contest and 12 runners go to post.

William said: “Like all the other trainer’s in the race we are going into the unknown with the trip. But her style of running and lovely attitude suggests to me she might and I think if she does then she has a good each-way chance.”
