DESPITE the 2009 flat season coming to a close all at Phantom House remain busy and are looking forward to having plenty of runners on the all-weather and the arrival this year’s bunch of yearlings.

Before then, however, William is especially looking forward to watching Perse and Profligate make their debuts in their respective divisions of the 7f maiden at Newmarket on Saturday.

He said: “Perse is a Rock of Gibraltar filly out of La Persiana. I am looking forward to seeing her run and hope she can perform with credit.

“Profligate is by Soviet Star. I hope she enjoys her racecourse experience and will come on for the run. The ground should be perfect for them both.”

This week saw the departure of a number of Phantom House inmates at the Tattersalls Horses in Training sale.

William added on the sale: “Admiral Dundas, Archie Rice and Papyrian were sold for a combined total of 50,000gns which on reflection was quite good business.

“Yesterday Musigny was sold and will be trained in Middleham by my aunt, Sally Hall.”
