ORIENTAL Scot will head north to contest a 1m2f handicap at Haydock on Friday evening.
Dr Jim Walker’s son of Selkirk was last seen at Epsom where he finished 11th in a competitive handicap.
He drops in grade on Friday and returns to a more conventional track so William is hopeful of a big effort from him.
He said: “He will have to shoulder a big weight but he is a strong horse so I hope this won’t be a problem.
“His homework has been vastly superior to what he has shown us on the racecourse but fingers crossed he can show his true colours on Friday
