WILLIAM JARVIS will look for further opportunities for The Mumbo on the all-weather over the coming weeks after her victory at Lingfield last Saturday.
The daughter of Bahamian Bounty was subsequently handed a mark of 68 for her narrow success on what was just her second career start.
Jarvis said: “We were all delighted to see her break her maiden in such a game fashion and she has come out of the race well.
“Given a mark of 68, we will now try and find a suitable handicap opportunity for her.”
In any other yard news, William and his staff are relieved that the extended cold snap now appears to have come to an end.
He said: “Allowing for how bitter the weather has been, I’m very happy with how the horses are. It has been an extremely cold spell but hopefully we’ve seen the last of it and now I’m looking forward to moving up a gear with the string.”
