MOON Sister has been declared to run in the Listed Hoppings Stakes at Newcastle tomorrow.
Connections of the daughter of Cadeaux Genereux will be hoping she can add to the black-type she gained last season when she was second in a Listed contest at Yarmouth.
Trainer William Jarvis said: “She returns to Listed company tomorrow. I thought she ran a very good race at York where she carried the top weight of 10stone and also had a bad draw.”
She faces nine rivals in the 1m2f event and will be ridden by Darryll Holland.
Joining her on the long drive up the A1 will be Kay Gee Be who has been given the go-ahead to run in a mile handicap on the same card.
The five year old by Fasliyev was last seen in the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar in May.
12 horses have been declared for the class 2 contest including the progressive Ben Chorley and fast-ground specialist Ezdeyaad.
Jarvis added: “His best results for me have been over a straight course so I am hoping for a bold showing.”
Today Mega Watt heads to Kempton for a 1m2f handicap where he’ll bid to redeem himself after a poor showing when well-backed at Haydock last time.
His handler said: “We hope he takes to blinkers after disappointing at Haydock last time out.”
In the same colours as Tobosa, Petougg makes his debut in a maiden at Leicester tomorrow evening.
Jarvis reflected: “I don’t think he’s as good as Tobosa but he’s been working well at home and we hope he runs well.”
On Friday River Till heads to Doncaster where she will aim to build on her promising debut at Yarmouth earlier this month.
