WITH racing being decimated by the inclement weather, the all-weather circuit - bar the odd exception - has been largely unaffected.
Phantom House has continued to have the odd runner or two and Monaco Dream gave a good account of herself when debuting at Lingfield on Saturday.
The Hawk Wing filly, owned in partnership, finished third under jockey Dane O’Neill.
Trainer William Jarvis said: “I was delighted with her run after she’d been slow into her stride. But she made up the ground quickly and went on to run a race full of promise.
“We hope that she can break her maiden on the all-weather and go on to be a nice type of filly for the grass.”
As for this week, it’s another quiet one, but William may run Mataram - second in claiming company at Wolves last month - at Lingfield over a mile and a quarter on Saturday.
