TRAINER William Jarvis sends out a trio of runners over the next couple of days to contest maiden races.
Tomorrow Head First, a three-year old by Dansili, makes her debut in a mile maiden at Newmarket.
She faces 15 rivals and has been declared to be ridden by Richard Mullen.
Jarvis said: “She is well and ready for a race. I shall be interested to see how she performs.”
Tomorrow evening Perez Prado runs for the first time in 399 days in a mile maiden at Haydock.
The son of Kingmambo has undergone surgery three times in his short life and it is a great credit to his connections that he has made it to the track again as a four year old.
Jarvis added: “His owner Tony Foster has shown remarkable stoicism and I hope his patience can be rewarded this season.”
On Monday Mrs Susan Davies’s Guesswork runs in a 5f maiden at Lingfield. The daughter of Rock of Gibraltar has finished fourth twice on her only two previous runs at Newbury and Nottingham.
Jarvis reflected: “I am looking forward to Guesswork running at Lingfield. We are dropping her back to 5f and I am hoping her experience will see her break her maiden.
“She is going well and I am happy with her.
“On Tuesday I had a very enjoyable day being entertained regally by Tony Verrier at Royal Ascot. It was a wonderful day’s racing and although my wallet was slightly lighter at the end of racing I had a great time.
“Regarding Royal Ascot it was fantastic to see Yeats make history to win four Gold Cups. What a wonderful horse and although in the early part of the year we were hoping to take him on with Gravitation I don’t think she would have spoiled his fairy tale.”
