IT has been a quiet couple of days on the runners front but William was pleased to see Loki’s Revenge run well on his racecourse debut at Leicester on Monday.

The son of Kyllachy, Phantom House’s first juvenile runner, put up a good show to finish third despite running a little green.

William said: “I was satisfied with his run. He should come on for it and I hope it won’t be too long before he is breaking his maiden.”

Tomorrow William saddles both Al Jaadl and Katy’s Secret at Lingfield.

Al Jaadl ran well to finish fifth on her seasonal bow at Nottingham and connections are hopeful that the step up in trip to 1m2f will suit the daughter of Shamardal.

He said: “Unfortunately she is drawn widest of all in stall 14 but I still expect her to run well.

“Stoute has one which will be hard to beat but she should be in the three.”

Katy’s Secret, a winner on her last start at Southwell, will be reunited with Mary-Ann Parkin when she takes her place in the 6f handicap.

Also on Thursday, Kerchak has been given the green light by his trainer to contest the 7f handicap at Sandown.

William added: “He has been slightly frustrating this year as he has missed the break a couple of times.

“He has been through the stalls at home and providing that he jumps off on even terms I hope he can get his head in front.”
