Kerchak Strikes at Goodwood

KERCHAK provided the Phantom House team with a welcome winner yesterday evening when storming to victory in a 1m2f handicap at Goodwood for the Silverback Partnership.

The son of Royal Academy has put up some useful efforts in defeat this season and fully deserved this first career win.

Jockey Pat Dobbs settled his mount in the midfield where he travelled sweetly.

Rounding the bend Dobbs began to ask his mount for an effort and he responded gamely.

He made steady headway up the straight before bounding clear inside the final furlong to score by three-quarters of a length.
