KAY Gee Be gave William his second winner inside 48 hours when taking a mile handicap at Ascot yesterday afternoon.
The son of Fasliyev was getting his head in front for the first time since October 2007 but he certainly was not winning out of turn, having run a number of great races without winning.
Jockey Alan Munro made every yard of the famous mile course and kicked for home 2 furlongs out.
For a moment it looked like the runner-up Standpoint was going to get him but the six-year-old stuck his nect out gamely to win by a length.
"He deserved this win, he's been knocking on the door and I'm delighted for the newly formed KGB Partnership and especially Patrick and Rachel Round as this is their first winner" said William.
