KAY GEE BE is set to make his seasonal reappearance in a £50,000 7f handicap at Kempton on Saturday.
The son of Fasliyev had a fruitful 2009 season despite not winning. He put up a number of fine efforts in very competitive handicap’s most notably his third to Confront at Newmarket on his first run last season.
If Kay Gee Be, now six, can reproduce that sort of form on Saturday he could be in with a leading chance.
William said: “He seems to be in good form at home and has a good record fresh. I think that his first run last year was probably his best so he should go well.
“He has won on the all-weather so that should not be a problem. We are hoping for a good draw and looking forward to Kieren Fallon taking the ride.”
On the same card William is looking forward to running Admiral Cochrane the 7f three-year old handicap.
Dr Jim Walker’s colt has enjoyed great success over the winter, winning three times in total and finishing second. He acts well on the all-weather and should his trainer hopes he can produce another good run.
He said: “He has been very consistent over the winter and still seems in good form at home. Again we are hoping for a good draw and are pleased that his regular jockey Joe Fanning can ride. He should hopefully put up another solid effort.”
