LOOKING towards the end of what is a busy week William is exciting about Heatherbird who runs in the 7f maiden at Newmarket on Thursday.

The daughter of Shamardal was fourth on her only start as a juvenile and looks to have done well over the winter.

William said: “She has been working very encouragingly and I shall be disappointed if she doesn’t run a nice race. Jim Crowley takes the ride.”

On the same day at Beverley William has booked the services of Champion jockey Paul Hanagan for Bouggatti in the 1m2f handicap.

William said of the son of Tobougg: “He will improve for the run but should be fit enough to run a creditable race.”

William will be busy at the Craven Breeze-up sales this week looking at two-year-olds to buy.

He said: “Last year we had plenty of success with both Loki’s Revenge and Stirling Bridge and fingers crossed we can find some nice prospects this year.”
