TRAINER William Jarvis is looking forward to having his first runners of the new turf Flat season which starts on Saturday.
Rock A Doodle Doo and Head First will be the first inmates from Phantom House to take to the turf when they line up in their respective events at Doncaster on Sunday.
The former has won three times on the all-weather this winter and his trainer is hopeful that the son of Oratorio can transfer that good form to the grass in an extened mile and a quarter handicap.
Head First has also been a consistent perfomer this winter when winning at Wolverhampton and also finishing second twice.
William is confident that the daughter of Dansili is in good form and can go close in a mile handicap.
He said: “Both horses have held their form on the all-weather very well and as a result they have gone up in the handicap.
“I am hopeful that they can  transfer their form to the turf even though both their previous form on it was moderate.
“As for jockey arrangements both of Rock A Doodle Doo’s regular partners are unable to take the ride so we are hoping to get Joe Fanning and David Probert keeps the ride on Head First.”
Looking towards next week The Mumbo is under consideration for a seller at Lingfield on Monday.
William added: “She has the ability to run well in race at this level although she has had her training problems at home.”
