William Jarvis is pleased to welcome Dr Jim Walker over from Hong Kong this week and hopes that one of his horses can give him a winner during his stay.
William is hoping to find a two-year old for Dr Jim at the Breeze-up sales at Tattersalls on Wednesday or Thursday.
On the runners front Dr Jim’s famously bright colours may be carried by Admiral Cochrane in a 6f handicap on day one of the Craven Meeting at Newmarket on Wednesday.
The three-time winner also has an engagement at Newbury on Friday and William will be keeping his eye on both contests.
He said: “Both races look very competitive but he seems well and hopefully can run with credit.”
West Kirk should have a leading chance when he lines up in a Selling race at Beverley on Wednesday.
The son of Alhaarth ran well to finish fourth on his last start at Linfield from an unfavourable draw.
William added: “West Kirk should go well. He ran very well last time out despite a bad draw. We are hoping for a bold show.”
Today, Kerchak takes his place in a 6f Classified race at Windsor.
William said of his chance: “He may find the trip a bit short but he did run his best race last year over six at Newmarket.
“He’s wintered well and is weighted to run well as the conditions favour him. Jim Crowley takes the ride.”
