DIVERTING gained a first career win when taking a 1m1f handicap at Yarmouth on Thursday afternoon.
The daughter of Nayef had run with credit on the all-weather at Lingfield earlier this spring and looked suited to the soft turf.
She was given a strong ride by Lee Newman who always had his mount in a good position.
Diverting was ridden along some way from home but kept finding under pressure to win going away by a length and a half.
It was a second winner of the week for the Phantom House team following Qushchi's success on Saturday.
William said "I'm so thrilled for Anthony & Alison Reed, Diverting's owner-breeders".
