THE Phantom House team will be represented by a number of runners over the next few days and they are hopeful of a winner along the way.
Today William saddles Dr Jim Walker’s Stirling Bridge in a 7f handicap at Haydock.
The son of Kyllachy was a dual winner on the all-weather over the winter but has been off the track since finishing third at Kempton in January.
William said: “It looks a very competitive race but he has a good inside draw and I am happy with him at home.
“Steve Drowne rides and he knows him well. I think he has an each-way chance.”
On Saturday Quschchi is set to contest a 1m4f handicap at Haydock. Lady Howard de Walden’s filly was third over two furlongs shorter at Nottingham last time out and is likely to benefit by a step up in trip.
William added: “Jim Crowley retains the ride. I think she has improved considerably for her run at Nottingham and is looking really well.
“Although it is a very competitive event I shall be disappointed if she doesn’t put up a bold show.”
William’s best chance of a winner could be with Diverting, who lines up in a 1m2f handicap at Lingfield on Saturday night.
He said of the daughter of Nayef: “She ran a nice race at Lingfield when last seen and I think she has a very good chance.”
