| DANCE Club significantly enhanced her paddock status with a fleet-footed success at Yarmouth tonight (Aug 17). The Fasliyev half-sister to Group 1-winning sprint ace Red Clubs got off the mark in a 7f handicap in the hands of Alan Munro. She had been a fast-finishing second on her previous start over 6f - a race also staged at Yarmouth. 11 days later and a furlong further she deservedly went one better. Munro held her up on the far side and she looked full of running when asked for her effort over 1f out. The 13/2 shot knuckled down to a gripping battle with joint favourite Regeneration and trainer William Jarvis' charge eventually wore down her rival to nail victory a neck with a further five lengths back to the third. Hopefully, she can go on from here with 7f and fast ground looking the key for the quick-actioned Dance Club. William says he is delighted to have a winner for US based owner Dr John Fike. |
