THE snow continues in Newmarket with fresh showers falling on us today.
Thankfully, though, we have had nothing like other parts of the country and most of the usual exercise grounds for the time of year have been available.
The snow was a more problematic at the end of last week, but the Phantom House team – with a bit of a help from Jockey Club Estates – have ensured that it’s just about been business as usual.
Trainer William Jarvis reported: “The cold snap has been very inconvenient but the staff have been fantastic in keeping up our horses’ fitness levels – as results have shown.
“The trotting ring at Phantom House has been invaluable and my thanks to Jockey Club Estates who maintain it.
“Full credit to them, too, for keeping the Heath in such good condition at a time when I’ve been reading about problems that trainers have had in other parts of the country.”
