BOUGGATTI gained a first career victory when landing a 1m2f handicap at Beverley this afternoon.

The son of Tobougg, the 11/4 CF, hit the front inside the final furlong under champion jockey Paul Hanagan and just held on to win by a short head.  He was cheered on by owners Edward Randall and Bill Turnbull.  William and his other owner, Martin Mitchell were busy with racing and the Breeze Up sales and so were supporting him from Newmarket.  William said: “It was great to see Bouggatti win. He only won by a short head but to me he always looked like the winner.

“Hopefully he can continue to improve and we can have some fun with him.”
