OVER the past few seasons, and last year in particular, William has had a formidable record on the all-weather over the winter.
Last year the likes of Admiral Cochrane, Rock A Doodle Doo and Private Equity made hay on an artificial surface and William is hoping for the same success this time around.
He said: “November is going to be quiet but I am hoping to have plenty of runners in December and January.”
The team will be hoping that Profligate can give them a first win of the 2010/11 season at Kempton tomorrow evening.
The daughter of Soviet Star was third there on her last start and a repeat of that effort would see her in with a big chance.
In December Stirling Bridge, Diverting and Loki’s Revenge are all likely to be in action.
William added: “I would like to get another run into Stirling Bridge and Diverting so that they are eligible to start their three-year-old campaigns in handicaps.
“Loki’s Revenge had a very productive summer; winning twice and being placed numerous times. He has had a short break and he will probably be aimed at a Nursery at Lingfield in mid December.”
Private Equity was a dual winner last winter and connections are hoping that she can once again pay her way this year in staying handicaps.
Mataram failed to sell at the Horses In Training Sale so he will be lining up in selling and claiming races.
