CHORISTER Sport, Heatherbird and Brigadoon will all be in action on the all-weather this week.

Chorister Sport will have his first run for Phantom House when he lines up in the 6f maiden at Lingfield tomorrow.

It will be a second career start for the son of Diamond Green who will be ridden by Joe Fanning.

William said: “Chorister Sport will have his first run for us at Lingfield. His work at home has been encouraging and I hope he can be competitive in a race of this nature.”

On the same card Heatherbird lines up in the 1m2f maiden for older horses. The daughter of Shamardal has an official rating of 73 which should be good enough to win most maidens at this time of year.

William added: “On the whole Heatherbird has been disappointing with her two best runs coming under Harry Bentley at Sandown. With Harry riding in Dubai we have booked Eddie Ahern and hopefully Heatherbird will put her best foot forward.”

On Friday Brigadoon will head to Kempton for a 1m3f handicap. William said of the son of Compton Place: “He finally got off the mark at Pontefract in October and I think the ground was a bit too soft for him when he was fourth at Nottingham last time.

“We are stepping him up in trip but I don’t think this will be a problem and I hope he can go close.”
