WILLIAM JARVIS is looking forward to Phantom House’s first major work morning of the year this Saturday.

There is a buoyant atmosphere in the yard after it was given the ‘all clear following an isolated case of Strangles was discovered last month.

The horses are back into their usual routine and William is already planning the list of workers for first lot this weekend.

He said: “I am very pleased with the condition of the horses, they look well and – strange through it might sound – the problem we had may just turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

“In March you can sometimes find yourself taking one step forward and then another back – especially with the fillies.

“But because of circumstances we weren’t able to press on with them this year, I’m hoping that it may well be that we’ve just taken a step forward.

“We’ll find out a little where we stand this Saturday when we’ll get the jockeys in for the first time this year. We’ll either head to the Al Bahathri or the Limekilns with the horses.

“If all were to go well, I’m planning for our first runners to be around the first weekend in May. We’re all really positive and can’t wait to get going.”

Let's get ready to rumble!
